MATERIAL DUPONT™ TYVEK®

Material DuPont™ Tyvek® DuPont™ Tyvek® is a non-woven material produced from ultra-thin threads of low-pressure polyethylene. This is the best combination of the characteristics of paper, film and fabric in one material.

Distinctive features: very lightweight, durable, moisture-proof, resistant to mechanical and chemical influences. The technical characteristics of the Tyvek® material allow it to be used when other materials are not suitable: especially strong packages, tags, labels, instructions, road maps, kites, posters, banners, careful and reliable packaging of museum valuables and many unique souvenirs and promotional products.

In 2017, the Tyvek® material celebrated its 50th anniversary in the global market.

Introducing a wide range of densities from 42.5 g/sq.m. up to 105 g/sq.m. When the image needs to pass the test of time, print to Tyvek®.

PRODUCTION ENGINEERING:

Initially, the leaf is formed by forming continuous bundles of very thin interconnected fibers, which are then joined under the influence of heat and pressure. The result is a shiny white sheet obtained by the spunbond method. During the manufacturing process, it is possible to change the stacking speed and bonding conditions, resulting in materials focused on different applications. For example, Tyvek® varieties of soft structure (they are sheet material with point connections with embossed relief) are made for use in the textile industry, and Tyvek® with a rigid structure (a rigid undirected substrate of the type of paper with ties throughout the area, having good printing properties, both in sheet and roll form) can replace traditional paper, especially in the manufacture of envelopes and printing.
